I sent out a quick Kahoot on Tu vs. Vous in French. This quick review game should help you see if you understand the concept learned last day.
Don´t forget to do the mandatory assignment due next week (April 15th) where you read the notes on Quizlet on tu vs. vous. Here is the link: https://quizlet.com/_885ifl?x=1jqt&i=dfem7

Please do the Quizlet Assignment I posted yesterday. Remember that this is a mandatory assignment that MUST be finished for April 15. Some students would like to print a copy of this activity. I am going to attach a google doc of it in the google classroom. You can print it out and write on it if you would like. I am doing this so all students can have a copy of the assignment.

GAME DAY
Hello Students and parents. Last Thursday all grades were given an assignment that was due on Monday April 6th. Only half of the students in each class have done this assignment. If you have yet to complete it, please do.
I will be posting one small task to do each day, but I will only assign a due date for 1 assignment a week. You can choose to do all the tasks or none, but you MUST do the posted assignment with a due date. Having children myself, I know that having many assignments to do at this time can be overwhelming and you might not have the technology or the time on the technology to do many assignments. Still, I have had some students doing all tasks so far and I know that there are students who want to keep themselves busy and a bit distracted on outside events. I am trying to give options to both types of students.
I am sending out a Kahoot to students. You will have a couple of days to do this Kahoot. You will need to use a phone to do the game. Kahoots can now be done by remote learning. Please give it a try. Don't forget there is also a fun game you can play on Quizlet. You can compete with fellow classmates on the Match icon. I have had students in the past start competitions with each other and even my youngest child likes to beat his personal best.
I have been trying to message everyone who completes a task or their once a week assignment. I appreciate all the students who have been messaging me and I want to try to stay in touch with every student. I too miss the interaction and long for a bit of normalcy. I also appreciate the parents and students who have emailed me for information and assistance. Please do not hesitate to contact me if you need to.
I also posted a video to all classes today which is a video vocabulary lesson to honor the day of Secwepemc.

French 7, 8 and 9
Thanks to all my student who have been trying out the lessons I have created in Quizlet. I am continuing to write back to everyone who clicks the submit as done button in google classroom.
I am still noticing that there are more students on Quizlet doing lessons than students submitting lessons on google classroom.
Many students have usernames that don't have their actual names in it so you can't get credit for doing the work when you only use Quizlet.
Yesterday I gave out a post on google classroom letting you know that Quizlet live can now be done by remote learning. Unfortunately you need to use Remind to link to the game. I have posted a join code for Remind and today I will try to see see how this works.
I want to move forward next week into new lessons.
French 7 Tu vs. Vous and Conjugation (Homework ex. 2-7)
French 8: Telling your Age in French (Homework ex. 7 and 2)
French 9 Irregular Past Participles with Avoir (Homework ex. 10-16)
Bon Weekend Tout le Monde!
French 7, 8 and 9

It has been a rough day today with my internet connection. I hope you were able to connect to everything.

I have assigned a Quizlet that is a fill in the blank exercise using the Write icon. Please re-write the subject pronoun completely. I added a link to the subject pronoun song so you can listen to it.

I gave you a listening exercise on Quizlet. Click onto the spell option and listen to the computer say the family word. Then re-write the family word and the possessive adjective to complete the activity. You can go into the options section and slow down the speed of the pronunciation. Here is the link:

My last message I left for the day was about using an APP called Remind. I might ask you to try it only because Quizlet is using it for Quizlet live. I left join codes for each grade. We might pilot something tomorrow. If it doesn't work then we will abandon it, but it doesn't hurt to try.

Post for April 1
Hello French Students
Today is April Fools Day or in French "Poisson d'Avril"
French 7
I posted a video a couple of posts ago on the Tour de France. I have a second video showing some of the accidents that occur in the Tour de France. If you are not on google classroom, here is the link
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=cSwlVtCa3ss
French 8 and 9
As you know, I am always warning you about using google translator to write an assignment. The Tonight Show has a funny segment called Songs with Google Translator. I picked one of the segments so you could see just how bad the translator can get it wrong. Here is the link if you are not on google classroom https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7m-NPuXPBqM
Important Message Last Day:
I have been posting videos and songs right now along with Quizlet lessons. Students, if you would be so kind as to post that you have finished the assignment or click the turn in button when you are done, that would be appreciated. I like to give you a reply in the return box. It is nice to be able to send a quick message or note to let you know I appreciate your participation. Classes don't really start until April 6, but I am trying to show little things now to keep students connected to learning French, but also connected to their class and classmates.
